There are many ways of communicating in the world of Eaxia. Starting with the basics of speaking you can type SAY or an apostrophe (') followed by what you wish to say.

Here is an example:

        SAY Greetings! Welcome to Eaxia!
        'How are you today?
        'Praise Pelloni!

Other adventurers will see:

        Leyara says, "Greetings! Welcome to Eaxia!
        Leyara asks, "How are you today?"
        Leyara exclaims, "Praise Pelloni!"

You can also speak privately with other players using the WHISPER command. Simply type WHISPER [player name] [message] to accomplish this.

Here is an example:

        WHISPER Fyialo Safe paths to you, Guildleader.

Only the target of your whisper will see:

        Leyara whispers, "Safe paths to you, Guildleader."

Mass communication is possible with the use of ensyiatite devices, usually in the form of jewelry. The ensyiatite stones of these pieces allow for amplification and reception of thoughts. They can be found at several stores throughout the Eaxia, most commonly in Semanri at The Mystic Strobe located to the east of Semanri bank.

Usage of these devices is similar to the other forms of communication, requiring the command of THINK followed by the message. The thoughts can be heard even in death, so the fallen are aware if help is on the way. Projecting thoughts causes a small amount of roundtime which will diminish as you progress with your guild.

Here is an example:

        THINK Pelloni guide your way.

Only those wearing ensyiatite devices will see (first instance - normal messaging in the Wizard; second instance - messaging when the Thoughts window is open):

        Your mind hears Leyara thinking, "Pelloni guide your way."
        [Leyara] "Pelloni guide your way."

Ensyiatite devices are very handy for emergencies and other mass communication needs. However, please refrain from abusing them. Personal attacks and out of character (OOC) statements have no place on the public thought channel. Please use other venues for such situations.

There are several commands that can be used to perform a custom action or speech. These allow for a myriad of ways in which to express your character. The verbs are ACTION, PONDER, and SMILE.

Here is an example of the use of ACTION, PONDER, and SMILE:

        ACTION leans back against the ancient tree and closes her eyes.
        PONDER for a moment then answers, "Aye."
        SMILE as she sharpens her damascene dagger.

Others see:

        Leyara leans back against the ancient tree and closes her eyes.
        Leyara ponders for a moment then answers, "Aye."
        Leyara smiles as she sharpens her damascene dagger.
