The rich and inviting smell of new leather permeates the air in this quaint shop. Comfortable-looking chairs stand back-to-back in the center of the room, where customers may sit to try on the shoes that are set out on shelves and shoetrees for display. A leather-bound catalog stamped with gold leaf writing on the cover rests on a scuffed counter amidst an array of cobbler's tools.
